Curtis Otley, a 20-year-old resident of Showering Road, Stockwood, has been handed an 18-year prison sentence by Bristol Crown Court for a series of appalling sexual offences committed against five girls, all under the age of 18. The court reached this decision yesterday, following Otley’s conviction in September on 12 charges, including rape, attempted rape, and sexual activity with a child. These crimes transpired between 2020 and 2023.
Otley’s victims, praised for their bravery by law enforcement, conveyed the profound and lasting impact his actions have had on their lives. In a victim statement read out in court, one girl expressed the fear that people wouldn’t believe her, highlighting the constant worry that lingered until the verdict was announced.
“I feel like Curtis has taken a large part of this away from me,” she lamented.
