Jayden Ryan, 30, was slapped with a hefty jail term after police caught him smuggling class A drugs in his mouth. The suspect ran the notorious ‘Uno’ county drugs line across East Cambridgeshire, supplying crack cocaine and heroin.
Police Nab Dealer with Dangerous Drug Stash
Ryan, from South Hackney’s Loddiges Road, tried to hide 55 wraps of crack cocaine and heroin from officers by stuffing them in his mouth. But cops saw through the stunt as they put him in the police van and promptly seized the drugs as evidence.
Five Years and Four Months Behind Bars
At Huntingdon Crown Court on Friday 5 May, Ryan pled guilty to charges including being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin, possession with intent to supply, and possession of criminal property. The judge handed down a sentence of five years and four months in prison.
Police Praise Teamwork in Bust
Detective Sergeant Luke Pedlar, who led the probe, said: “Our Intelligence and Specialist Crime team worked alongside neighbourhood officers to catch Ryan, who was dealing heroin and crack cocaine across Ely and Littleport.
“Just before Ryan was arrested, he hid 55 wraps of drugs in his mouth, putting his own life in danger to avoid prosecution. Drug dealing will not be tolerated.”
