A lengthy prison sentence has been given to a man who attempted to meet a child for sex in Gravesend. Jayren Kadamen, 33, has been jailed following an investigation by Kent Police’s Paedophile Online Investigation Team.
Kadamen sent a series of sexual messages on the internet in the hope he could arrange a meeting with the child. He travelled to meet the girl on 23 October 2024, but when he arrived in the expectation of abusing her, he was arrested by police officers.
On Wednesday 15 January 2025, Kadamen, previously of Kingfisher Drive, Maidenhead, was jailed for six years and four months at Maidstone Crown Court. He was also made the subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) for 15 years.

Detective Constable Jess Medway, of Kent Police’s Paedophile Online Investigation Team, said: ‘Investigations like this one are designed to protect vulnerable children by tracking down those who would exploit them via the internet. We do everything in our power to proactively target people like Kadamen, who seek to commit sexual offences against children, and ensure they can no longer pose a threat to public safety.’
