As part of a National Crime Agency investigation, a 44-year-old Portsmouth dock worker has been charged with drug importation – UKNIP

 

NCA officers arrested David Stuart Oliver, of Cornwall Road, Fratton, at his workplace yesterday (8 June).

 

He was charged with conspiring to import class A drugs overnight after being questioned by investigators and appeared before Portsmouth Magistrates this morning (9 June).

 

Oliver was remanded in custody until his next court appearance on June 15 at Portsmouth Crown Court.

 

His arrest is the result of an NCA investigation sparked by the April seizure of 1.5 tonnes of cocaine in the Netherlands.

 

Three people have already appeared in court on charges of illegal importation. They are scheduled to appear in court again in July.
