NCA Nabs Portsmouth Man Over Massive Cocaine Haul
David Stuart Oliver, from Cornwall Road, Fratton, was snapped up by National Crime Agency (NCA) officers at his workplace yesterday (8 June).
Charged With Conspiring to Import Class A Drugs
After grilling by investigators, Oliver was slapped with charges of conspiring to import class A drugs overnight. He faced Portsmouth Magistrates this morning (9 June).
He has been remanded in custody until his next hearing at Portsmouth Crown Court on 15 June.
Linked to Staggering 1.5 Tonnes Cocaine Seizure
Oliver’s arrest comes hot on the heels of an NCA probe triggered by a colossal April cocaine seizure in the Netherlands — a whopping 1.5 tonnes.
Others Caught Up in Drug Import Case
So far, three others linked to the operation have appeared in court on illegal importation charges. They’re set to return to court in July.
The NCA crackdown continues as UK law enforcement clamps down on drug trafficking across borders.
