A Coventry man, Pengqi Sun, has been found guilty of murdering 22-year-old Coventry University student Shuo Zou and injuring another student in a vicious knife attack that unfolded in the city centre on April 6.

The incident occurred during a gathering organised by Shuo Zou and his friends, celebrating a mutual acquaintance with the defendant, Pengqi Sun. A dispute arose between the two, leading to an assault on Shuo Zou, promptly halted by friends. However, Sun didn’t let the matter rest and later armed himself with two blades from a broken pair of scissors and a knife.
