A former Essex Police Special Superintendent is due to appear in court on Monday after being charged with a non-recent sexual offence.

Investigation & Charges
The alleged offence occurred while Gliddon was off duty.
Essex Police launched an investigation after receiving the report, leading to the suspect’s arrest.
A case file was submitted to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), which later authorised the charge.
