The arrest follows a report received on Friday, September 27, in which a teenage girl stated she was raped by a male unknown to her in the Deadwater Valley area, situated between Branson Road, Maple Leaf Drive, and Chalet Hill.

Officers responded immediately, launching an investigation and supporting the girl and her family. The investigation is ongoing, with officers and specialist teams continuing their work in the area.

In the early hours of this morning, September 29, a local 21-year-old man from Bordon was arrested on suspicion of rape and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place. He remains in custody while investigations continue.
