A man has been charged following a series of sexual assaults involving a cyclist targeting women in south-east London.
Cortes-Pinerez is scheduled to appear in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Monday, July 29.
[block_2]Acting Detective Sergeant Chris Handscombe, part of a team of detectives investigating serious and complex cases in south-east London, emphasized the Metropolitan Police’s commitment to addressing violence against women and girls.
“The Metropolitan Police has an action plan to tackle violence against women and girls. The whole of the Met is committed to doing much more to identify and tackle the most dangerous and prolific offenders,” said Handscombe. “I urge anyone who has been a victim to come forward and speak with police. You will be listened to and supported.”
