Man Busted for Series of Shocking Cycle Sex Attacks on Women in South-East London

A 39-year-old man has been charged after terrorising women in south-east London. Eddwin Cortes-Pinerez from Mitcham Lane, Streatham, is accused of sexual touching in eight separate incidents between July 3 and July 24.

Cycling Predator Targeted Women on Quiet Streets

The victims reported being approached by a man on a bicycle who inappropriately touched them over their clothes. The attacks happened across several streets including Aldeburgh Street, Vanbrugh Hill, Halstow Road, Roan Street, Stratheden Road, Greenwich South Street, Oldfield Grove, and Moorhead Way.

Police Take Action as Suspect Set for Court Appearance

Cortes-Pinerez is due in Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Monday, July 29. Officers are urging anyone affected or with information to come forward immediately.

“The Metropolitan Police has an action plan to tackle violence against women and girls. The whole of the Met is committed to doing much more to identify and tackle the most dangerous and prolific offenders,” said Acting Detective Sergeant Chris Handscombe.

“I urge anyone who has been a victim to come forward and speak with police. You will be listened to and supported.”

A Met Police spokesperson confirmed investigations are continuing. Anyone with information is urged to call 101 with reference CAD 4297/28JUL24.
