Three Charged And Further Arrests Made In Connection With Missing Children Investigation

In a concerning incident in Derby, a man has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing that left another man with life-threatening injuries. The incident took place on Tuesday, September 26, at approximately 10:50 in Laverstoke Court, located off Peet Street in Derby.

Upon receiving reports of the stabbing, officers swiftly responded and found a man who had sustained critical injuries as a result of the attack. He was immediately transported to the hospital and remains in a critical but stable condition.

The accused, identified as Alfid Kalid, a 24-year-old resident of Peet Street, Derby, has been charged with attempted murder. Kalid appeared before Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on September 28, where he was remanded to prison.

Temporary Detective Inspector Eleanor Develin expressed gratitude to the local community for their cooperation during this troubling period. She emphasised that the incident is being treated as an isolated occurrence. Law enforcement maintains a significant presence in the area as the investigation into the incident continues.
