Knife Rampage on Christmas Day Leaves Two Women Dead in Milton Keynes

A horrific knife attack on Christmas Day has ended in tragedy for two women in Milton Keynes. Jazwell Brown, 49, has pleaded guilty to the brutal murders of Joanne Pearson, 38, and Teohna Grant, 24, along with attempting to kill two others.

Brutal Christmas Night Violence in Bletchley

Brown admitted the horrific crimes at Luton Crown Court on Tuesday. The attack happened at a home on Santa Cruz Avenue, Bletchley, on December 25, 2024. Police described the bloodshed as “mindless violence.”

Besides the two fatal stabbings, Bradley Latter, 29, and a teenage boy suffered serious injuries but are expected to survive. Brown also pleaded guilty to carrying a knife in public and causing unnecessary suffering to the family’s Staffordshire bull terrier during the incident.

Emergency Services Rush to Scene as Horror Unfolds

Emergency crews arrived just after 6.30pm on Christmas Day to find Ms Pearson and Ms Grant dead at the scene. Bradley Latter and the teenager were rushed to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening wounds.

Initial reports said the family dog had died, but Thames Valley Police later confirmed the pet survived the attack.

Court Appearance: Remorse and Next Steps

Brown, who lives in Bletchley, appeared at court with a remorseful defence. Lawyer Charles Miskin KC told the judge Brown was “profoundly sorry” for his actions.

Mr Justice Kerr remanded Brown in custody, setting sentencing for 22 May.

Prosecution Reacts to Senseless Violence

Celia Mardon from the Crown Prosecution Service said: “This was an inexplicable attack which has done irreversible damage – robbing two women of their lives and seriously injuring two others.

“Strong witness testimony, CCTV footage, and forensic evidence left Brown little choice but to admit guilt.

“While the motive remains unknown, we must remember the two lives lost needlessly. Our thoughts are with the families of Joanne and Teohna.”

Shock Waves Through Local Community

The Newton Leys community is left reeling from the violence that marred what should have been a day of joy and celebration. Residents expressed horror as police sealed off the area for days while forensic teams combed the scene for evidence.

As sentencing approaches, families and locals hope for justice and closure after a devastating Christmas tragedy.
