Man Pleads Not Guilty To Murder Of Schoolteacher In Tullamore

In a dramatic courtroom scene, a 33-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to the murder of 23-year-old schoolteacher Ashling Murphy in Tullamore, Co Offaly, last year. Jozef Puska, hailing from Lynally Grove, Mucklagh, in Co Offaly, entered his plea before a jury was sworn in at the Central Criminal Court this afternoon.

As the charge of murder was read out, Puska stood and firmly replied, “not guilty.” The courtroom was filled with tension as the proceedings began.
