A convicted killer has fled custody, sparking a nationwide police manhunt.
Convicted Killer Kieran Cameron on the Loose
Kieran Cameron, 43, serving 23 years for a brutal 2016 knife attack in Poole, Dorset, escaped from low-security HMP Thorn Cross in Warrington at 9:20pm on Tuesday, 6 January.
Known Links from North to South
Cameron is described as white, around 5’6″ tall, medium build, with heavily receding hair and a ginger-grey beard. Police warn he has strong connections across Manchester, Liverpool, and Dorset and could be anywhere in the UK.
Police Urge Public: Don’t Approach, Call 999
Detective Chief Inspector Nick Henderson of Cheshire Police’s Serious and Organised Crime Unit said:
“We are appealing for the public’s help to trace Kieran Cameron, who is unlawfully at large after leaving HMP Thorn Cross in Warrington. If you see him, do not approach him. Call 999 immediately. If you have any information on his whereabouts, please call 101 or visit www.cheshire.police.uk/tell-us quoting IML 2247029.”
Escape Comes Amid Recent Prison Breaks
Cameron’s breakout follows just days after murderers Matthew Armstrong and Daniel Washbourne escaped from HMP Leyhill in South Gloucestershire. Both were caught after widespread police hunts.
Police warn the public to stay alert and report any sightings of Cameron immediately.
