Pensioner left with serious injuries following crash

Investigators are appealing for witnesses to a serious injury collision at Dunton Green. The incident took place at around 7.30pm on Friday 8 November 2019 on London Road near its junction with Mill Road, and involved a silver Vauxhall Insignia and a pedestrian. The pedestrian, a woman in her 80s from the Sevenoaks area, was treated for injuries and then conveyed to a local hospital where she remains in a serious condition. It is understood the driver of the Vauxhall stopped at the scene before driving into Mill Road where the vehicle was parked and left unattended. Officers are working to establish the circumstances of the incident and the identity of the driver, and are urging anyone who saw the car or the pedestrian in the moments leading up to the collision, or who have dash cam footage from the area around the time, to contact them. The investigators would also like to hear from anybody who saw the vehicle being parked in Mill Road after the collision. Witnesses can call the Kent Police on 01622 604 100, quoting reference 46/216065/19.
