Diana Mikova, 27, formerly of New Cross Street, Margate, was sentenced to 39 weeks in jail in December 2024 for vehicle interference and assault. Following her release, Kent Police applied for a court order to prevent further offences.
Criminal Behaviour Order Granted
On 9 January 2025, East Kent Magistrates’ Court approved the three-year CBO, which includes strict conditions aimed at curbing Mikova’s criminal activity. The order prohibits her from:
- Touching or entering vehicles without the owner’s permission.
- Possessing bank cards that are not in her name.
- Entering College Walk and Boots in Margate, as well as Tesco on Northdown Road, Cliftonville.
The court heard details of Mikova’s extensive history of shoplifting offences, which had caused distress to local businesses and residents.
Police Statement
PC Michelle Sherwood, who was involved in the case, welcomed the court’s decision:
“I am pleased Mikova’s latest sentence will give the people of Margate, and the town’s businesses, a break from her offending.
