The following cases involving theft, assault, and public disorder were heard at Bromley and Bexley Magistrates’ Courts between Wednesday, 20 March and Tuesday, 25 March:
Bexleyheath Asda Thief Jailed
Warren Easterbrook, 32, of no fixed abode, has been jailed for eight weeks after admitting to stealing from Asda in Bexleyheath and assaulting a police officer during the incident on 22 March. The court heard Easterbrook was detained at the store and became aggressive during his arrest.
Woman Threatened Victims with Claw Hammer
Stephanie Crawford, 43, of Bowen Drive, Charlton, pleaded guilty to assaulting two women and threatening them with a claw hammer on 22 February. She was sentenced to four months in custody, suspended for one year, and ordered to undergo alcohol treatment as part of her sentence.
Wine Thief Sentenced to Six Weeks in Jail
Harry Marshall, 32, also of no fixed abode, was sentenced to six weeks’ imprisonment after admitting to stealing five bottles of wine from Peckham Cellars on 19 December 2024. The theft occurred during trading hours, and Marshall was arrested shortly after fleeing the premises.
Shell Garage Thefts Await Sentencing
James Hollands, 33, of Longleigh Lane, Bexleyheath, admitted to two counts of theft from a Shell garage in Bishop’s Stortford in February. His case has been adjourned, and he will be sentenced at a later date.
These proceedings are part of the court’s routine criminal hearings addressing offences across South East London and surrounding areas.
