Swift Police Response Leads to Arrest and Charge for Folkestone Thefts

A suspect is set to appear in court following a swift police response to a series of vehicle break-ins in Folkestone.

Kent Police were called to Broadmead Road around 12:30 am on Thursday, 3 October, after receiving a report of someone breaking into vehicles in the area. Upon arrival, officers confirmed that three parked vehicles had been broken into, with items including a parking badge, phone chargers, and sunglasses believed to be stolen. Officers also seized a folding lock knife found at the scene.

Within 15 minutes of being called, officers arrested a suspect.

The following day, Daniel Morrison, 33, of no fixed address, was charged with several offences, including criminal damage, theft, vehicle interference, and possession of a knife in a public place. He has been remanded in custody and is expected to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court the same day.

Kent Police praised the quick response of their officers in apprehending the suspect and securing evidence.
