Teenagers Charged over Portsmouth Somerstown Stabbing
Two Portsmouth teenagers have been charged with a stabbing that saw police descend on a Somerstown street in the early hours of yesterday morning. Shawn Owen Griffiths, 19, of Greetham Street, Landport, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He will appear at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court on 23rd November. A 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named due to his age, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He will appear at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court in the morning. The 22-year-old victim was rushed to Southampton General Hospital following the incident at the junction of Sedgeley Close and Rivers Street, in the shadow of Edgbaston House, just after 4am on Saturday morning.
