A man has been jailed for three months after being found guilty of carrying out a burglary in Lymington.

Lee Pound, 45, was sentenced at Southampton at Southampton Magistrates Court on Tuesday 29 September.

The court heard that Pound and another man entered into the premises of the Boots Chemist store on Lymington High Street, at around 11.55pm on Sunday 27 September 2020.

Pound, entered the premises through a window which had been smashed to gain entry and subsequently targeted glass display cabinets containing perfumes. They had pillow cases with them in order to remove the products from the premises.

He was arrested by officers who attended the scene, after being alerted to the disturbance while attending another break-in on the High Street.

Pound, of no fixed abode, was sentenced to 12 weeks imprisonment.
