Burglary Blunder: Man Caught Red-Handed at Lymington Boots

Criminal Caught in the Act

Lee Pound, 45, has been jailed for three months after a bungled burglary at the Boots Chemist in Lymington High Street.

The court heard how Pound smashed a window just before midnight on Sunday, 27 September 2020, to sneak inside the store.

Perfume Heist Foiled

Once inside, Pound targeted glass display cabinets packed with perfume, stuffing them into pillowcases with an accomplice.

But the crooks’ night ended abruptly when police, already on the High Street dealing with another break-in, swooped on the scene.

Swift Justice Served

Pound, who has no fixed address, was arrested at the scene and sentenced to 12 weeks behind bars at Southampton Magistrates Court on Tuesday 29 September.
