Far-right activist Tommy Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley Lennon, was arrested in Canada on suspicion of an immigration offence. The 41-year-old was detained on Monday and later released, but he has been ordered to remain in the country and hand in his passport.
Robinson, who was due to speak at several events in Canada in the coming days, was apprehended by authorities and footage posted online showed him being handcuffed and led to the back of a waiting car. A man, who appeared to be a plain-clothes police officer, informed him that he was being detained under an outstanding immigration warrant.
