Two Charged With Robbery After Targeted  Attack In Gillingham.

A robbery charge has been authorised against two men after a man reported being targeted in Gillingham.

The victim, who is in his 30s, is reported to have been threatened after he withdrew cash from a machine in the High Street area at around 2am on Tuesday 8 September 2020.

A second man, who is in his 40s and was with the robbery victim, was also allegedly assaulted by one of the two offenders.

Following enquiries by Kent Police’s Chief Constable’s Crime Squad, Clive Tilly and Dean Martin were identified as suspects and arrested in connection with the incident.

Mr Tilly, 38, of Tobruk Way, Chatham, has been charged with robbery and assault.

Mr Martin, 32, of James Street, Gillingham, has been charged with robbery.

Both have been remanded in custody to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday 10 September 2020.
