Two Escape Serious Injury after Car smashes into Tree in Calbourne
Emergency services have called to Lynch Lane, between Calbourne and Brighstone, just after 9.45pm on Sunday evening after a car left the road and smashed into a tree. Two people who had been traveling in the vehicle were treated at the scene by medics. They have since been taken to St Mary’s Hospital for checks it is understood that their injuries are not serious. Fire crews from Newport and Freshwater attended, supported the Police and the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service. A spokeswoman for Surrey fire and rescue said that crews attended and made the vehicle safe. No one was trapped in the vehicle and crews have since returned. The road remains closed whilst recovery and accident investigation work takes place.
