Wiltshire Police are calling for witnesses to come forward following a distressing incident involving an imitation firearm that took place on Wood Lane, Chippenham, around 9:20 pm on July 18, 2024. Authorities were alerted by multiple calls from concerned citizens about a man seen with what appeared to be a firearm.
Upon arrival, police determined that the weapon was not real. However, the seriousness of the situation led to the arrest of a man in his 20s on suspicion of possessing an imitation firearm. He has since been released on bail pending further investigation.
