A woman has been arrested following a dog attack that occurred on the morning of June 2. The incident, which took place in Knowle, left the victim with potentially life-changing injuries. Avon and Somerset Police responded to reports of a man injured in a garden at approximately 11.25am
The victim, whose injuries are not believed to be life-threatening but are potentially serious, remains hospitalised. Authorities have arrested the woman on suspicion of having a dog dangerously out of control.
The dog involved in the attack, believed to be an XL Bully, was sedated, seized, and removed from the address by police dog handlers. The public is reassured that there is no ongoing risk to safety following the incident.
Inquiries are ongoing, including confirmation of the dog’s breed and registration. The woman has been released on conditional bail pending further investigation.
