Israeli emergency services have reported that at least one person has been critically wounded in an alleged shooting attack near an illegal settlement in the occupied West Bank. According to the Israeli army, the assailant opened fire at security forces who had stopped to inspect his suspicious vehicle near the Kedumim settlement on Thursday. After the shooting, the attacker fled the scene but was later tracked down and “neutralised” by security forces.
Israel’s public broadcaster, Kan, stated that the assailant had targeted an Israeli security guard near the settlement, although the identity of the attacker has not been immediately determined.
