Fatal Crash Near Petworth
Police have wrapped up their probe into a deadly smash on the A272 near Petworth. Emergency services rushed to Horsham Road near Fox Hill at around 7.50 am on Monday, April 29 after a collision involving four cars—a white Porsche, a white BMW, a black BMW, and a white Audi.
Man, 74, Dies at Scene
Tragically, a 74-year-old man from Reigate, Surrey, was pronounced dead at the scene. A second man, 65, from Midhurst and driving another vehicle, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.
Medical Episode Blamed for Crash
Police launched Operation Preston to investigate the collision. A post-mortem revealed the victim died after suffering a medical episode while driving. The inquiry is now closed.
