Man arrested for Ashford underpass Robbery

Police in Kent are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a report of a robbery in Ashford. It was reported that between 11.30pm and midnight on Tuesday 7 May 2019, a teenage boy was assaulted by two people in the underpass near Station Road. His iphone 5S was stolen during the robbery. He sustained facial injuries and bruising and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. A 22-year-old man from Ashford was arrested on suspicion of robbery on Wednesday 8 May 2019. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
