Police have launched a murder investigation following the death of a man in North London. Officers were called to a property on Moselle Avenue, N22, at approximately 9.45pm on Friday, 20 September, after concerns were raised for the occupant’s welfare.

Upon arrival, officers forced entry into the flat and discovered the body of 40-year-old Marvin Dixon. His family has been informed and is being supported by specialist officers. Detectives from the Metropolitan Police" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="117291">Metropolitan Police Specialist Crime Command are leading the investigation.

A post-mortem examination conducted on Sunday, 22 September, determined the cause of death to be blunt force trauma.

On the same day, a 36-year-old man was arrested in Edmonton on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody at a North London police station.
