A 22-year-old man has died after being stabbed in the western German city of Trier, with police arresting a suspect shortly after the attack. Emergency services rushed to the scene following reports of the stabbing, where the victim was found suffering from serious injuries.
Paramedics attempted to resuscitate the 22-year-old at the scene before he was taken into emergency care. Despite their efforts, he later died from his injuries.
Suspect arrested
Police confirmed a 22-year-old Afghan man was arrested a short time after the incident and remains in custody while detectives continue their investigation.
