Police Release Image in Connection to Assault on Rail Staff at Moorfields Station

Officers investigating an assault on a member of rail staff at Moorfields station in Liverpool have released a CCTV image of a woman believed to have information about the incident. The assault occurred around 21.00 BST on Saturday, 26 August. The victim, a member of Merseyrail staff, refused entry to a woman at the ticket barrier whom he deemed unfit to travel. In response, the woman became aggressive and abusive, grabbing the victim’s Body Worn Video and hurling it across the concourse. She further assaulted the staff member by slapping him across the head.
