British Transport Police Appeal for Victim and Witnesses
British Transport Police (BTP) are appealing for the victim and any witnesses to come forward after a hate crime incident on board an Elizabeth Line train. The incident occurred at around 6:20 pm on Saturday, 22 February, when a woman wearing a hijab was assaulted by a man while travelling between Ilford and Forest Gate railway stations.Suspect Arrested as Investigation Continues
Police officers responded to the report and attended Forest Gate railway station, where a man was arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated common assault.
