Yesterday evening (July 8, 2023) at 6.35pm, Shoreham Coastguard Team, in collaboration with Sussex Fire & Rescue and Littlehampton CG, responded to an emergency involving a small fishing boat that caught fire at Emerald Quay in Shoreham.
The Fire & Rescue team promptly extinguished the fire upon their arrival, while the Coastguards assessed and ensured the safety of the boat. Fortunately, no serious injuries were sustained during the incident.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service reported that fire crews from Shoreham and Hove promptly attended to a small boat that was fully ablaze on the slipway of Emerald Quay in Shoreham Harbour.
