A Motorbike Was Stolen From Outside A Shop In Maidstone, And Witnesses Are Being Sought

It was reported on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, that two men stole a black and orange KTM Duke Bike from outside J&S Accessories in Lower Boxley Road between 4pm and 4.30pm.   The men entered the store and spoke with the employees. When they left, the suspects allegedly broke the steering lock on the motorcycle and led it away side by side with another bike, which they used to push it.   The suspects allegedly fled in the direction of the Kent History and Library Centre and the Gallagher Stadium, but may have taken detours along the way.   One man was described as a slim, black adolescent with dreadlocks who wore a bandana halfway across his face. The other is a white man in his early twenties with a medium build and short hair who was wearing a blue Canada Goose parker coat at the time.   The licence plate is OV20.   Officer Oliver English stated:   ‘Following initial inquiries, the bike has yet to be recovered, and we are eager to identify the two males involved,’ said the police.   ‘Officers are asking local residents with CCTV and motorists with dashcams to check footage from the Lower Boxley Road area on Tuesday 20 December 2022 between 4pm and 4.30pm.’   Anyone with information or dashcam footage from the scene of the crime should call 01622 604100 and quote crime reference 46/242414/22.   You can also call Crimestoppers anonymously at 0800 555111 or use their website’s online form.
