Appeal following assaults at Medway Hospital

Investigators are appealing for witnesses after two reported assaults at Medway Hospital. Kent Police was called at around 11.35pm on Tuesday 13 February 2024, to a disturbance at the premises in Windmill Road, Gillingham.

Officers attended the scene where two men in their 40s and 50s were being treated for injuries. A 22-year-old man from Thamesmead, London was arrested on suspicion of assault and taken into custody.

An investigation is underway into the circumstances and officers are urging witnesses who have not yet spoken to the police to contact the appeal line. They would also like to hear from anybody who wishes to report they were also assaulted during the incident.
