20-Year-Old Charged After Weekend Knife Attack in Melksham
A terrifying knife attack rocked Melksham over the weekend, leaving two women injured. Police have now charged a 20-year-old man in connection with the violent incident.

Emergency services were scrambled to Cotswold Close at 5.30pm on Saturday (14 March) following reports of a brutal disturbance. Two women were hurt during the attack — one suffered stab wounds, the other a wrist injury. Thankfully, police confirm neither injury is life-threatening.
Naked Suspect Pinched by Public Before Police Arrival
Christian Drury, 20, of Cotswold Close, was found naked at the scene. Quick-thinking locals restrained Drury until officers arrived. He was promptly arrested and charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent and attempted grievous bodily harm.
Drury Held on Remand, Court Appearance Today
Drury remains in police custody and is due to face Swindon Magistrates Court this morning (Monday). The investigation continues as the community reels from the shocking attack.
