Bembridge community you should be very very proud after saving Dog walkers life

Members of the Bembridge community you should be very very proud after a number stopped and carried out life-saving treatment whilst waiting for an ambulance on a dog walker who collapsed on Thursday (August 30th) The gentlemen named Mike was out walking his dog name Buddy when he collapsed suffering a heart attack on Forelands Road in Bembridge. Many Villagers who watched the incindent unfold stopped and helped to carry out resuscitate on Mike. One quick-thinking member of the public grabbed a defibrillator from a nearby Limes care home whilst others carried out CPR and phone the emergency service. Isle of Wight Ambulance sent an ambulance and Police are also understood to have attended. The man was rushed to St Mary’s hosptial in Newport and was later transferred to the mainland in Southampton for treatment. The good news is following the life-saving work carried out by these unnamed lifesavers. Mike is now with his family alive. Well done you should all be very proud of yourselves and the fact that you have saved a life.
