Burglary on Christmas Eve Leaves Elderly Victim Traumatised

A distressing burglary occurred on Christmas Eve in North East Manchester, leaving an elderly victim traumatized and the authorities urging the public for information. The incident took place around 6pm when the victim was watching television. She heard a loud noise and, upon investigating, found herself face-to-face with the intruders. They coerced her to stay in the kitchen while two of them ransacked her home for approximately five minutes. The burglars fled with the victim’s handbag, which contained £50 in cash, her bank card, bus pass, and personal items.
