CCTV Appeal Launched After Reported Sexual Assault on Medway Bus

Kent Police have released a CCTV image as part of an urgent investigation into a reported sexual assault involving a teenage girl on a bus in Medway.

The incident is reported to have taken place at around 4pm on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, as the girl travelled on a bus near Chatham town centre. A man, unknown to the victim, is said to have sat next to her and touched her inappropriately over her clothing before getting off the bus in Rainham.

The victim raised the alarm with the bus driver, and a report was later filed with Kent Police.

Police Issue CCTV Image

Following several weeks of investigation, officers have now released a CCTV image of a man they would like to identify and speak with in connection with the incident. Detectives believe he may have crucial information that could assist with the ongoing inquiry.

A Kent Police spokesperson said:

“This was a distressing experience for the victim, and we are doing all we can to establish the full circumstances. If you recognise the man in this image, or have any relevant details, please come forward.”
