Firefighters are working to extinguish a significant blaze at the Toby Carvery restaurant in Bishopstoke after being called to the scene at approximately 3:45 AM on Sunday, 29 December 2024.

Six fire engines and an aerial ladder platform have been deployed to tackle the fire. Firefighters are currently using four main jets to bring the flames under control.

As a safety measure, the B3037 (Bishopstoke Road/Fair Oak Road) has been closed near the restaurant. Local authorities have urged motorists to seek alternative routes and avoid the area.

Residents in the vicinity have been advised to keep doors and windows closed due to smoke from the fire.
