Officers, the London Ambulance Service, and the London Air Ambulance were dispatched at 10.29pm on Sunday, June 26th, to reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian in Great West Road, near the intersection with Syon Lane.
The 88-year-old pedestrian was taken to a central London hospital with life-threatening injuries. He passed away on Monday, June 27th.
His next of kin have been notified. As soon as possible, a post-mortem examination will be performed.
The driver of the car stopped and is assisting police with their investigation.
There have been no arrests.
The investigation is being led by detectives from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU), who are appealing for any witnesses who may have witnessed the collision or captured the events on CCTV or dash cam to come forward.
