A man tragically lost his life in a hit-and-run while walking his dog in the Welsh village of Llanpumsaint, Carmarthenshire, just days before Christmas.

The fatal collision occurred on a country lane near Caer Salem Baptist Chapel between 6:45 pm and 7:45 pm on Monday, December 23. The vehicle involved, described as a noticeably damaged blue car, fled the scene, prompting police to launch a manhunt for the driver.

Dyfed-Powys Police are urgently appealing for witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage of the area around the time of the incident to come forward. Officers are particularly interested in identifying the male driver of the vehicle, which was traveling northbound through Llanpumsaint at the time of the collision.
