Factory Fire in Lenham Promptly Tackled by Fire Crews

Fire crews were called to a factory fire in Lenham, Maidstone, earlier today, with emergency services responding swiftly to contain the incident.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service received reports of the blaze at around 11:35am on Monday morning. Two fire engines were dispatched to the scene, where firefighters quickly got to work to extinguish the flames.

Crews, equipped with personal protective equipment (PPE) and breathing apparatus, used high-pressure hose reel jets and main jets to tackle the fire.

The flames were successfully brought under control, and no injuries have been reported.

A spokesperson for Kent Fire and Rescue Service confirmed:

“Firefighters attended a factory fire in Lenham, Maidstone today. Crews used hose reel jets and main jets to extinguish the blaze. The cause is believed to be accidental.”

The incident was fully resolved by around 2:30pm, and the site has now been made safe.

Authorities are reminding businesses to ensure fire safety protocols and equipment are up to date to help prevent similar incidents in the future.

Further investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing, though early reports suggest it was accidental.
