A brutal murderer who battered a doctor to death after tricking his way into the victim’s Middlesbrough home has been freed – sparking fresh fury across the UK.

Reginald Wilson: ‘Psychopath’ Killer Set Free

Reginald Wilson, 61, notorious for the words “psychopath” and “chaos” tattooed across his forehead, was found guilty of the savage 1990 murder of consultant dermatologist David Birkett. The 56-year-old doctor was hammered at least 17 times in a horrifying attack that shocked the court with Wilson’s “frightening level of sadism.”

Despite grim warnings from Cleveland Police detective sergeant Ray Morton – who said, “if he ever gets out I am sure that he will kill again” – Wilson has now walked free on licence.

Parole Board’s Shocking Fourth Time Release

Wilson was originally handed a whole life sentence, but that was slashed to a minimum of 30 years behind bars. After his fourth parole board hearing last November, Wilson, now going by the name Zenshen, impressed officials enough to be cleared for release.

The Parole Board hailed his “good progress” during time in open prison and insisted there were “no significant concerns” about his release — despite the killer’s grisly past.

Deputy PM David Lammy Battles to Stop Wilson’s Freedom

Deputy Prime Minister David Lammy has slammed the parole decision and launched a judicial review to block Wilson’s release. Lammy’s move highlights serious fears that the dangerous killer remains a deadly threat to the public.
