A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade Kingston said:
Our crews worked hard to ensure the fire was contained quickly and safely. Thanks to their efforts, there were no injuries reported, and the scene was made safe for further investigation.”
The Avionics Building is part of Kingston University’s state-of-the-art facilities for aerospace and engineering studies.
While the fire caused disruption on campus, university authorities have assured students and staff that plans are in place to minimize the impact on teaching and research activities.
