A house fire in Bean, Dartford, resulted in one person being treated for smoke inhalation in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to the scene on High Street at approximately 4:18 am. Two fire engines responded, and crews wearing breathing apparatus used high-pressure hose reel jets to bring the blaze under control.
The fire was extinguished by 5:00 am, and the individual affected by smoke inhalation was handed over to paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) for treatment.
The cause of the fire has been determined as accidental.
Residents are reminded to take precautions against fire hazards, including checking smoke alarms and avoiding potential risks such as unattended cooking or overloaded electrical outlets.
