Two fire engines attended the incident, and smoke was issuing from the ground floor of the building on arrival. Firefighters used hose reel jets, a covering jet and water from a local hydrant to extinguish the blaze, before clearing the property of smoke with a high pressure fan. The exact cause has not yet been confirmed. KFRS’ Volunteer Response team was also in attendance.
