Kent Police Officers Worked Quickly To Recover Two Stolen Motorcycles And Apprehend A Suspect

 

The victim of a stolen motorcycle in Chatham reported the incident to police around 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 29, 2022. Two people on a moped allegedly pulled up alongside the motorbike, which was parked outside a residential property near Magpie Hall Road. Before both riders fled the scene, one person was seen getting off the moped and stealing the motorcycle.

 

Officers responded immediately, and the stolen bike was tracked for about an hour before being discovered in Hill Rise, Dartford. After a foot chase, police apprehended a 17-year-old boy who matched the description of one of the suspects. In addition to the stolen motorcycle, they also recovered a stolen moped. Both cars were returned to their rightful owners.

The Swanscombe teen was arrested on suspicion of stealing both bikes and was later released pending further investigation.
