Lorry Fire in Dartford Being Treated as Suspicious

Emergency services responded to a lorry fire in a loading bay on Suffolk Road, Dartford, on the evening of Saturday, January 18, 2025.

Fire Response

Kent Fire and Rescue Service received the call at 8:14 pm, and three fire engines were dispatched to the scene. Firefighters, equipped with breathing apparatus, used high-pressure hose reel jets and water from a hydrant supply to tackle the blaze.

The fire was brought under control by 11:56 pm, preventing further damage. No injuries were reported.

Cause of the Fire

The cause of the fire is currently being treated as suspicious, and investigations are underway to determine the circumstances leading to the incident.

Appeal for Information

Authorities are urging anyone with information or who may have witnessed anything unusual in the area to come forward.
